About our home

Nous avons un appartement "loft/duplex" de 120 m2 situé au 3e étage d'un immeuble sur cour, sur l'ile saint louis. Il est composé de 2 chambres avec 2 salles de bain. My wife and I, live in a 120m2 apartment of two stories on the "Ile St Louis". There are two separate bedrooms and each of them has a bathroom.

Nous sommes un couple marié, alain et dominique tous deux architectes. Dominique est décoratrice spécialisée dans les hotels de luxe et je suis en charge de la gestion de grands projets immobilier sur Paris. Nous cherchons à nous établir au USA à moyen terme et souhaiterions échanger notre appartement contre une maison à los angeles au mois d'aout 2009 mais aussi à plusieurs reprises au cours des prochaines années. We, Alain and Dominique Gerard, are a married and both of us are architects. Dominique decorates high standard hotels and I, am in charge of big projects in Paris. We look forward exchanging our apartment against a house in Los Angeles in August 2009 and maybe, other times in the years that come.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Nous habitons dans un quartier très touristique mais très calme. Très populaire pendant la journée avec d'excellents restaurants, il s'éteint vers 22H30 et s'est l'occasion de ballade à pied le long de la seine dans un cadre gorgé d'histoire et exceptionnel. Il se situe à deux pas de Notre Dame (500m) et de l'hotel de ville 500 m. Extrêmement central, il vous permettra de visiter Paris à pied ou à vélo. Vous disposerez aussi d'une station de métro ou de "bateau bus" à proximité. We live in a touristic part of Paris but, the advantage is that it stays very calm. In our street, there are lots of charming little restaurants and, after it getting calmer at around 10.30 pm, you can walk along the Seine which is exceptionnal. It is situated near the famous church of Notre Dame (500m), the Hotel de Ville (500m too) and is in the center of Paris. You can visit the city in bicycle, in "bateau bus" which are boats that stop at each touristic place or simply taking the metro and walking.
