About our home

Our house is a very typical house of the Ile de France region. It was built in the 18th century and has been totally and beautifully renovated in 2002, using old materials with a very contemporary touch. The house is very comfortable, we live here all year long and really appreciate both winters and summers offering the very special mix of French sophistication and sweet home comfort. The house has no less than four doors opening on a charming and secluded garden which makes summer life a inside/outside dream. What we enjoy most is candel lit dinner under the catalpa which is stuck right in between the far end bamboos and the kitchen...Our house is of course very well equipped and comfortable.

More about us

  1. We are a family of 5, with 3 kids aged from 4 to 10 who are eager to discover the world. We love travelling though we have mainly focused on France trips in the recent years for various reasons among which our children young age. We love spending time on the seaside but are also very keen on very urban sites : our latest trip to London was just so revigorating !! We would love to take the kids to the United States and especially the eastern coast.

Neighbourhood

Our village is close to a train station that is 30mn away to the very central Paris train station. you can also choos to drive to Paris (45km-30mn) or to Versailles (30km-15mn) : it gives you the opportunity to spend the day or the evening there and come back with no hassle.
The street that the house is built in leads straight to the wonderful rambouillet forest within a 5 mn walk or even less if you choose to ride one of our 5 bikes (2 adult bicycle and 3 kids bikes) : this is a great place to walk or bike, or horse ride, whatever you prefer. Our neighbours are very kind and used to look after our house and garden. There are horse stalls behind the garden back-end wall, and you can hear the horses from time to time during the day.
