About our home

My apartment is on the fifth floor and overlooks a Parisian panorama that includes the Eiffel Tower and Sacré Coeur through two large windows in the living room. The sunsets are magnificent, and the view is unimpeded for miles, with a 17th century hospital dominating the foreground. The living-dining room has a fireplace, a sofa, and comfortable chairs. There is a mix of antique furniture and contemporary forms and colors. The apartment has a good stereo and is well appointed and efficient, with a kitchen that opens onto the living room, a comfortable, quiet bedroom that opens onto a courtyard, and a small balcony.

More about us

  1. I am a Parisian professional who travels extensively for work as well as pleasure to North America and elsewhere. I spend a lot of time in Louisiana. I enjoy cooking and dining out and am deeply interested in music of all kinds. This is my first time with home exchange. I enjoy contact with people from various countries and cultures and look forward to interesting exchange proposals almost anywhere.

Where is it?

The apartment is on a hill a few blocks above the lovely Canal St. Martin and is near several diverse and lively neigborhoods (Belleville, République, Buttes Chaumont, Stalingrad, Parc de la Villette). There are numerous cafés, restaurants, and shops within 5 minutes walk, major Metro access within 10 minutes (République), and the entire center of the city within 30 mn. The immediate neighborhood contains every possible shop or service, as well as many fine, some even eccentric places to eat, hear music, or meet locals. The wider neighborhood includes squares, parks, and cyclable paths along the canal leading to the Parc de la Villette.
