About our home

Our apartment is located on the top floor (5th floor with elevator) of the building where Ernest Hemingway and Scott Fitzgerald met, accross from the heart deco building where Isadora Duncan had her studio... It is a very sunny place, with a long balcony, fully remodeled, very comfortable to live in. 1200 sq. feet, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, living room, dining room, study, modern kitchen...

More about us

  1. Nicole is a historian, writer and TV editorialist, specialist in US affairs. Dominique is a writer and publisher. We wrote several books together, including fiction for children. Our children are now grown and scattered over several countries, one of them in the US. We are invited at Stanford University from approximately mid-May 2009 to mid-July 2009 (there are a certain flexibility on the dates). We are looking for a house or cottage within biking distance of the campus. We are coming for a period of research and writing, and looking forward to the quiet life style we experienced during our last visit when we stayed in College Terrace. We hope that our Paris apartment could work for you and we will be happy to provide you with any more details you might need.

Where is it?

We are in the heart of the very attractive Montparnasse area, rich with historical landmarks, where Picasso, Modigliani and many famous artists and writers used to live. The cafes are still a meeting place for their contemporary followers. Numerous bookstores and galleries are right around the corner. Our street is also famous for its fish, baker, cheese, and wine stores. We are just a few steps away from the Jardin du Luxembourg and the organic street market.
