About our home

My flat is located in the sixth and last floor (no elevator) of a typical Parisian building. It is very bright and quite thanks to the double glazing. It is fully renovated. There are a living room (with a sofa for two), a full-equipped open kitchen with a bar table and six bar stools, two bedrooms (one with a queen size bed, the other with a single bed). There are also a bathroom with a bathtub and separate toilets. The flats has wooden floors and fireplaces (only for decoration). All commodities are offered: washing machine, dishwasher, flat screen television, everything you need to cook...

More about us

  1. I am a 33 year-old female attorney at law, taking a sabbatical.
My project consists simply in going with the wind, in the direction it will blow me to.
I will try to use this time wisely to ask myself the true questions. If I am lucky enough, I will offer my help as a volunteer in some foundation working in the field of micro-insurance or micro-credit. I also want to travel to Asia, more precisely to Vietnam.
From a more practical point of view, I would like to spend a few months months in Sydney, for example in January and February 2011.
Two years ago, I had my first home swapping experience with a retired couple in San Francisco and one month ago, I did another home exchange with a very nice woman who lives in New York and has now become a friend of mine.
For me home swapping can be a fulfilling experience to meet people who are in the same spirit than I: respectful of others and others' goods, and eager to expand the horizon.

Where is it?

My flat is located on the avenue de Clichy, in the 17th district of Paris. In the area, you will find lots of clothes shops, small restaurants and food shops. In particular, there is a permanent food-market called the "Marché couvert des Batignolles" where you can find quality food. You will be at a few minutes from the 13th line of the subway (Brochant station), 5 lines of buses, and 3 bike-stations. If you are in the mood for a walk, you will need 5 minutes to the Batignolles village, 20 minutes to Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge, 30 minutes to the Haussmann district (Galeries Lafayette, Printemps...) or to Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur.
