About our home

The apartment is located in a quiet courtyard in a classic Haussmanian building on rue Monge. It was fully renovated in 1998 and has all the modern comforts one would wish for in a home mixed with luxury vintage furnishings I have hand-picked from Parisian marches aux puces. For the chefs amongst you the kitchen is fully equipped with all you could ever need, and the apartment has space to host dinners for 6 with ease. It is surrounded by a wealth of gourmet food shops - within 10 feet of the front door are a butcher, baker, fishmonger, Italian deli, cheesemonger, the list goes on - and a neighbourhood market is held every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday morning at which fresh produce can be purchased. The Luxembourg Gardens and the Jardin des plantes are both a few minutes walk away and a great for an early morning run or a lazy afternoon with the paper. For more energetic social pursuits, rue Mouffetard is a minute from the flat and provides a wealth of entertainment. The infamous St Germain area is a 10 minute walk or a two-minute tube ride away, a proximity that will allow you to imbibe in the left-bank atmosphere to aplomb. Notre Dame is also a mere 10 minutes away, as is the celebrated Marais district (just across the Seine) should you wish for a change of scene.
