About our home

Our cozy, sunny, 3 bedroom house comes with all of the amenities that you need for your "home away from home"- washer/dryer, dishwasher, DSL, Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, etc. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the two smaller bedrooms have a toddler bed and a crib respectively. The crib can be removed and the room can be converted into a queen-sized sleeper. There is a fireplace in the living room, as well as a double-sized sleeper-sofa. The living room can be closed off from the rest of the house for privacy. We have a small, cheery garden in the back of the house, with a barbeque and terrace overlooking it. We also have a playhouse and sandbox for the kids.

Our house is perfect for a family with children (we have all the baby/kid gear) OR for adults who want a more typical "French experience" than what is usually found staying at a downtown Paris hotel.

More about us

We are a young, professional couple who will be traveling with our two small children. My husband, who is French, is a software engineer. I am American and am a wedding and events planner. I am originally from Chicago, but lived in San Francisco before our move to France in 2001.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our town, called Colombes, is very quiet, with all of the things that you find in a typical Parisian village. We are close to everything that the town has to offer-- we are 2 blocks from the train which takes you directly into Paris (Gare St. Lazare). There is a bakery on the corner, a post office next to that, and a farmers market every Wednesday and Saturday just behind our house. There's also a small supermarket about 3 blocks away.

The "Main Street" is about a 10 minute walk from our house. There you will find the cinema, the butcher, the fish shop, a bunch of little boutiques and the big grocery store.
