About our home

I would start by saying that we love our flat since the very first walk in. This is a 62 sq.meter "feel at home" kind of place: wooden floor, high ceiling, marble chimneys and many windows without nearby opposite windows. We live on the 4th floor of a 6 floor 1930's building with an elevator. It is very safe (2 codes to get in) and also very clean. This flat has small "water areas" which means: a small kitchen but fully equiped and very functionnal, and a tiny but really charming bathroom (with a shower in a one seater bath ). For the rest, you will enjoy our luminous double living-room from which you can even see the flash light (sorry... just the flash light !) of the eiffel tower at night ! One of the sofas is brand new and convertible to a really comfortable double bed. The living room windows are oriented south/south west which is very pleasant, and you even have a redish sunset light invading the flat in spring and summer. Our bedroom, with a comfortable double bed, is quiet even if on the street side. As you can see, we have an aquarium in the living-room but don't worry, you won't need to feed the fishes ;)

Where is it?

Our very close neighbourhood is composed with the french very essentials: bakery, café/restaurant, newspaper shop, and also a small fresh food market right down the building twice a week. Anything else you need is within few blocks: supermarket and/or smaller shops. The subway (line 13) is within a 5' walk and you also have bus stops all around the area: towards the Opera(66) via Galeries Lafayettes, the Louvre(81), the Champs Elysées(31), the Arc de Triomphe(31), and also to Châtelet les Halles(81)... well, all the major monuments and shopping areas. One bus connection will bring you to Pigalle and "Le Moulin-Rouge" within 15-20 minutes. Also, if you like to bargain antiques you can't miss the world famous "Les Puces de St Ouen" Flee Market that is at a 10 minutes walk from our flat. Also, a 10 minutes walk can lead you to the first bottom steps of Montmartre, leading up to "le Sacré-Coeur". My brother will leave his bike for you in the flat. Paris is really a nice town to ride through and as there is a city-bike station down the building it's easy to go all together. (you can see the station "vélib" on the picture of the bedroom view)
