“We enjoyed a lovely week in Paris this April at Alain's perfectly located apartment. It was a short walk to Palais Royal and close to the Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries, and the Opera. It is also close to several Metro and bus routes and is an ideal base to explore Paris. The apartment is large, bright, and beautifully decorated. We felt very much at home in the evenings. Alain is an experienced exchanger and was easy to communicate with making it a hassle-free exchange. Thank you, Alain, for a perfect exchange and taking such care of our home in Ireland. ”
“The appartment in a completely renovated warehouse of the 1920ies is beautifully furbished and there are many art items. The kitchen is very comfortable and the bathroom is luxury. It is located to the courtyard and thus absolutely quiet. Yves prepared a large documentation about Antwerp and gave us many hints. In about 3 min you walk through the charming little streets to the cathedral, the famous town hall and the Pieter Paul Rubens house. Ideal to explore the the medieval city! ”
“We had a wonderful first exchange with Alain. The apartment is in a special XVIII building: bright, spacious and exquisitely decorated. The location cant be better: from here it is perfectly possible to explore Paris by feet and you have different lines of subway too. We feel as at home since we arrived. Alain gave us all information we need to use the apartment and knowing we would arrive at night, he had the courtesy to let for breakfast. We had a good communication by e.mail and phone all the time. Alain recommended us nice and not expensive places to taste typical french cooking. Finally, we thought nobody had been at our home when we returned: we found it as it was when we left! We highly recommend a swap with Alain.”
“Thank you Alain for exchanging your interesting apartment in Paris with my apartment in New York. Your apartment is extremely well located to enjoy all that Paris has to offer, sites, museums, monuments, parks and many small little restaurants and cafés. It is comfortable, and quite elegant. To top it all, when I returned to my apartment in New York I found it immaculate. Exchanging with you was a pleasure. Liliane”
“All that can be written about Alain and his apartment, has been written already. Really, every single word in these comments proved to be true. Smoothly organized, excellent location, lovely, spacious, cozy apartment, ‘traceless’ on return, etc. In short: the best first foreign exchange I could have possibly hoped. Thank you Alain!”
“Thanks to Alain for this wonderful swap. Beautiful house, in a beautiful surrounding, really close to Louvre and Opera. Our exchange was well organized, without any problem! And we found our home as clean as we left it. We really recommend an exchange with Alain. Chiara and Antonio”
“I really recommend to swap apartments with Alain. Apart from his apartment being lovely decorated and located (five minute walk to the Opera or the Louvre) it is extremely cozy: after a tourist day you can relax in its spacious bedroom or its comfortable living room. In a few minutes, you will suddenly feel at home! Everything has been easy with Alain: his emails have always been very clear and he has answered to my questions promptly and accuracy. The perfection of this swap could only be Happy Ended: Alain left my apartment very clean and tidy. At first sight, I thought nobody had been home!”
“We had the pleasure to experience a long weekend in Alains apartment, Paris. We found a really good spirit there and a nicely decorated home. The location is perfect with everything reachable in a very short time. Velis (city-bikes)just outside the door, metro 3 min. away. But why not just take a walk instead? The area is central and charming and invites you to discover the center of Paris by foot. Very good (and cheap) restaurants just around the corner - just pick your favorite flavor... We loved it!! The communication has been smooth and unproblematic and we can highly recommend to make a swap with Alain and his wonderful place. Rasmus & Kira, Copenhagen”
“We enjoyed an excellent and seamless exchange. The partner was exemplary in all respects, including providing breakfast items for my arrival (unexpected and unnecessary, but very much appreciated) and leaving my home very, very clean (which i appreciated even more!). The apartment is lovely, the neighborhood is quite central, and the exercise you will get from the stairs will allow you to fully enjoy the culinary delights of Paris without concern for your waistline.”
“Ingo and I stayed at Alain's flat and enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Paris. The flat - an original old Parisienne style apartment - is located in an ideal location, just round the corner of the Louvre and the Opera and therefore easy to explore most of Paris by foot, which is what we did. We will for sure visit Paris again one day. Thank you Alain, for making our stay so special!”
Where is it?
My apartment is perfectly located in the 2nd arrondissement at 100 meters from the Palais Royal gardens. The 1st arrondissement is across the street. It is 5 mn walk from the Louvre Museum, from the Tuileries, from the Place Vendôme, from the Opera House... You are not far from the Grands Magasins and from all that has to be seen or visited in Paris.
You can enjoy Paris by foot or you can take the métro (3 stations and 4 lines nearby) or one of the numerous buses in the district. You also have the possibility to rent the city bicycles "Vélib" in front of the building.
You will find a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Most of them are japaneese.
