Our home is a brand new 1st and top floor duplex flat, located in a secured complex in Lons, 5mn drive from Pau. In a residence of 34 flats split into 3, our flat is one of an 8-unit villa, with one outdoor garaging in the complex. The first floor contains the open kitchen and lounge, which open onto a furnished terrace with BBQ, a guest double bedroom (with terrace), shower room and study (with balcony). On the top floor is the main double bedroom, bathroom and separate laundry. Surrounded by trees, goats and hens, our terrace also gives us a superb view onto the Pyrenees. Spacious, comfortable and neat, our home is a place where we love to spend time with friends or just resting. It would suit one or two couples or a small family.

We are Mickael and Marie, late 30's. We both have worked and lived abroad and are now settled down in this great area in the South West of France (Marie's homeland). Mickael is working in construction and civil engineering. I am a physiotherapist, after having worked as a civil engineer. We enjoy outdoors, sports (cycling, hiking, skiing) and discovering people and places. We are open to suggestions when it comes to locations for an exchange. Due to our jobs we won't be able to leave for more than 2 - max 3 weeks at a time. Through this great experience we hope to meet new people and create bonds.
On top of all this, we have a cat (she is called Touyi). You will have to feed her (one of our neighbours can also manage at times), and she loves cuddles!
Located in the center of the old village of Lons, the rural environment offers a quiet relaxing spot, yet only 5 mn drive to Pau and its historical center, and 1/2h drive to Pau Uzein airport. The Jurançon vineyards and the first foothills of the Pyrenees can be reached in a 15mn drive. We are 1h 1/2 drive to the Basque coast on the Atlantic ocean (Bayonne, Biarritz, St Jean de Luz) by the motorway, with typical Basque villages on the way. On the way to the Pyrenees, Lourdes and its sanctuary is 1/2h drive away. Ski resorts in the Pyrenees (Gourette, Barèges Tourmalet resort) are 1h to 1h1/2 drive. Spain border is about 1h1/2 drive.
