About our home

My home is clean and cosy. It has a small kitchen adjoining a dining and living room downstairs. The dining area and kitchen open on a large terrace and fenced back yard. There are two bedrooms (one with a double bed and another one with a single bed), a study and a large bathroom upstairs.

More about us

I teach English at the university in Lorient. I practise Breton and Scottish dancing in the evening. I enjoy travelling. I lived in England for 2 years and in Germany for a year. I was a chaperone many summers for students who spent a month in the United States. I exchanged my home this summer with people from Florida. We all enjoyed it very much. A friend and I would now like to experience life in abroad next Easter/summer vacations.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Ploemeur is a very pleasant seaside resort. The house is located 5 minutes'walk from the town centre (church, town hall, tourist office, shopping mall, Sunday morning market), 5 minutes'drive from the beach (5 miles of sandy and rocky beaches, sailing and surfing schools, golf course...), 10 minutes'drive from LORIENT (Celtic music festival in August, TGV train station to Paris,movie theatres, pubs...) There is a very good bus service from Ploemeur to the beaches and Lorient. There is an airport in Ploemeur (Lann Bihoué) where you can fly to Paris and the UK. Tourist attractions in the area are: -within 30 min: Vannes (old district), Auray (Ste Anne's pilgrimage), Carnac (standing stones), Golfe du Morbihan (islands), Pont-Aven (Gauguin Museum)... -1 hour's drive: Quimper (cathedral, old district,china dishes...), quaint towns like Concarneau, the beaches on the coast ... -2 hours' drive: Rennes (Brittany's Parliament, old district), Nantes (cathedral, Duke of Brittany's castle, boutiques...)
