About our home

Our home is located in the centre of a small Breton market town. It is not very big but cozy and well laid-out, we love it! It combines the charm of the old (stone wall inside, a woodburning stove, granite window sills) with the convenience of the new as it has been nicely restored and modernized. It is a three-story house. Ground floor: spacious living room with fireplace and a built-in equipped kitchen with dining table + WC. 1st floor: master bedroom with double bed and ample storage + large family bathroom with a corner bath and a large shower + separate WC. 2nd floor: sunny double room + tv room with dvd player and games consoles (N64 and a WII) and a convertible sofa so that it can be turned into a third double room. On-street parking always available in front of the house. Although it is a terraced house, it is very very quiet. Maison calme.

More about us

  1. We are a young couple. Julien, 29, works in IT while Nolwen, 26, is an English teacher. We are of Breton origin ("100% pure butter" as people sometimes say in Brittany!) and we have owned this house for 4 years now. We are keen travelers and enjoy getting to know other countries and their inhabitants' ways of life. We already had a successful exchange and are confident to find people as curious and considerate as us again. We have a cute little female cat: Clochette (the French for Tinkerbell). She is affectionate without being intrusive. Should you need company, we can leave her to your care together with our house (if not, friends will accommodate her while we're away). Should you have any question about us, our house or the planning of your trip to our region, feel free to contact us, we'd be happy to help. We have gathered plenty of flyers and information about things to do around our place for the persons with whom we'll swap homes.
We've already had a successful exchange with Vancouver and can't wait to discover a new destination.

Where is it?

Very close to local shops ("boulangerie", "épicerie", supermarket, post office, chemistry, "charcuterie », cafés, restaurants, flower shops, church) and on the way of the bus to Morlaix. Ideally located to explore our region by car as we live close to the express way linking Brest to Rennes. To the north: the beautiful long sandy beaches of the Bay of Morlaix (15 minute drive) and the Côte de Granit Rose (40 min). To the west: the historic city of Morlaix (10 min) and the Brest region with its airport and aquarium (one of the biggest in Europe) (40min). To the east: Guingamp, Saint-Brieuc, Rennes, etc. To the South: the Monts d'Arrées, great for hikers, and the Crozon peninsula, our favourite spot to go hiking, surfing, sunbathing, picnicking, etc. By train, it takes 4 hours to go to Paris so it is easy to go and spend a couple of days there.
