About our home

Our house is simple and cosy, with two big rooms, a guest room and an office. In the biggest bedroom (30m²), which has a lovely view on the garden, we have a little reading space which is really pleasant for a nice and quiet moment. On the first floor we have a nice bathroom with a big shower, a bath and 2 wash basins, but there is also an additional bathroom on the groundfloor, with a second shower, which is very convenient. It is situated beside the guest room, and toilets, so the guests staying in that room can be independant. The main room, both lounge and dining room, is full of light and very cosy; a French window allows you to get out directly to the terrace in the garden, from the dining room or the kitchen just beside it (only separated from it by a bar). The garden is closed, so there is no risk for chidren. In the summer in particular you'll be able to enjoy the grass and the orchard, and even taste our delicious plums!

More about us

  1. We are Véronique and Stéphane, aged 39 and 37. I am a librarian, I work in a very nice old village called Bécherel, 20 mn from home, which is dedicated to second hand and old books - another nice place to visit. Stéphane works in a wineshop in Dinan, he'll be able to give you advice if you feel like tasting French wines! He also teaches wine tasting. We both like travelling a lot - I spent a year in England when I was younger - and we love discovering other cultures, ways of life, food (of course, we're French!), etc. We like visiting museums, exhibitions, and going to see films or musical shows.

Where is it?

Our house is situated in a little village (1000 inhabitants) in the countryside. It is very quiet, our neighboors are mainly elderly people, and they are very nice. Brittany is a beautiful place, full of history, old stone houses, churches ans little medieval castles. 10 minutes away from home is the gorgeous medieval town of Dinan, one of the nicest in France, and next summer, in July, medieval feasts will be organised there. Between 30 and 50 minutes from home you can find several beaches, in very nice resorts: Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, with its lovely golf ground, Dinard and its very fine "Belle époque" houses ; and of course the wonderful sites of Saint-Malo and Le Mont Saint-Michel. In these various places you'll be able to enjoy nice restaurants and fine Breton gastronomy (seafood ans crêpes in particular).
