About our home

We have lovingly renovated this house (as it had been abandoned for years....) however now it's first class, not only beautiful, but cosy & classy at the same time. Into the bargain we have an 'outhouse' (fully equiped with 2 rooms at the back of the house which we keep for family when they want to visit) & also there is a separate toilet & shower room for when people return from the beach, they can shower immediately, which proves to be very practical. Also there are washing lines in place so that you can dry your washing outside - nothing to beat the smell of fresh air on clothes! Also we have boxes of toys to amuse the kids, who can lounge about on the large patio while you are fixing up your BBQ & of course the bikes when you want to explore. Also the joy of going to the local markets where you'll be able to find fresh seafood, meat, veg. etc.etc. (Thurs & Sunday mornings) And just to conclude - there is nothing more relaxing than listening to the sea when you're in bed & the tranquility of the fishing boats.

More about us

  1. We're in our 50's & I'm Scottish & my husband French, we have two children who are now leading their own lives therefore we have more time and opportunity to travel. I do feel homesick and this is why our main goal is to try for an exchange in Scotland .

Where is it?

Our house is situated on the Jade Coast & St.Brevin is neither a town or a village, it's just something which is difficult to describe, it's modern but at same time quaint & traditional, whatever kind of holiday your looking for - tranquil or full of activities you'll find it here! There are lots of places like ours (not too commercialized) dotted along the coastline & within easy distance range, there is something new to discover each day should you choose to. Also if you prefer 'the fast lane' we are an ideal base to visit Pornic, St.Nazaire (10mins.away & the bridge is renowned)La Baule (the St.Tropez of the Parisians) & Guerande with the 13th century fort which inside embraces an abundace of artists studios where you can browse around to your hearts content, or should you wish to there is the ancient church - a 'must' visit for the architecture, or simply just walk around the cobbled streets & have a refreshing drink in one of the numerous cafes,or treat yourself to a Brittany speciality - Crepes, before you continue your stroll to discover all the craft shops etc. I'm enclosing some mail addresses for your interest(I'm new at this so don't have all the info.I should)so please look at these sites & you will not be able to resist I assure you!
