About our home

WE CAN ONLY EXCHANGE FROM MID-DECEMBER UNTIL END OF FABRUARY. Our house is typical of the 19th century country houses in the Aix region. It was completely renovated in 2001 to become confortable and elegant. It has lots of character and was furnished and decorated with care. The property counts 8,5ha of land: vineyards, olive groves and hills. Ground floor has kitchen opened on dining-room, leaving-room with fire place, a bedroom, separate toilets, bathroom with shower. First floor has large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and separate toilets, then 2 additionnal rooms which share the same bathroom. The fifth bedroom is in the little cottage overlooking the swimming pool, with ensuite bathroom (shower) and separate toilets.

More about us

  1. After a professional life spent in West Africa, we took over this property in 2001. It was then a spleeping beauty. We worked hard to bring it back to its former glory. We became farmers to look after our vineyard (1,5ha) and our 344 olive trees. During school year, our house becomes a bed & breakfast opened to visitors. During summer month, we rent out the whole property for holiday rental. But because we also need our own holiday, we though we could put the bed & breafast business on hold, and exchange our home no more than once a year for a few winter weeks.

Where is it?

Puyloubier is a small but dynamic village with 1500 inhabitants. The village is patiently restored and kept its trully authentic rural character. Vines and olive trees are the main cultures in the region. Our biggest natural attraction is the famous Montagne Sainte-Victoire which is a protected natural reserve made famous by painter Cezanne. Other attractions are: historical town of Aix-en-Provence 25km, Marseille 53km, Avignon, 103km, Cassis and the callanques 55km and many more.
