About our home

Completed in 2020, this is a beautiful modern home in the Rhône Alps region of the south of France. Ideal for a warm break with use of the pool during the months of May, June and September, or an autumn/winter/spring visit enjoying the surrounding nature and nights around an open fire. Please note, the house isn’t available for LHS swaps during July and August as it is rented out each summer.

A huge terrace with infinity pool perched on a rock ledge looks out onto wooded hillsides in the near distance. Three air conditioned bedrooms, 85m2 open plan living area with kitchen and open fire for cosy winter evenings. 450+ Mbps WiFi.

Underfloor heating, wine fridge, quality electrical appliances, UK and French TV stations, 2 bathrooms with walk in showers

The property is situated in the Ardeche region of France about 2 hrs 15 minutes drive from the airports of Lyon and Marseille, and about 1hr 45 minutes drive from Nîmes airport. The location is rural and quiet, but there is the convenience of a large supermarket only 7 minutes away in Ruoms, along with bars, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. At 25 minutes drive is the Grotte Chauvet 2 . This site is an exact replica of the 35 000 year old cave paintings found close to the nearby village of Vallon Pont d’Arc in 1994. The original cave has UNESCO World Heritage status. 25 minutes pleasant walking will find you in the gorgeous next door village of Labeaume with its river and limestone cliffs. There is also a beach and a number of reasonably priced restaurants here (open May, June and September).

Paris is under 3 hours on the train from the closest rail station, and the beautiful cities of Lyon, Avignon and Aix en Provence are 2 - 2 hours 30minutes drive away.

Walking, mountain biking, visiting vineyards, canoeing on the Ardeche river, local markets, great restaurants, or just simply enjoying the house.

The house is rented to holiday makers during the months of July and August via Abritel France, and we currently enjoy a customer rating of 4.9/5. You can visit our reviews by searching on the Abritel France site entering the property reference number 10669186 in the ‘Destination’ box

We can accommodate non simultaneous swaps as we have a separate gite at the property.

Please note:

-The house isn’t adapted for children under 8 years of age.
