About our home

Our 19th-century house is located in the heart of Saint-Brieuc, a lovely city on the north coast of beautiful Brittany. The bay of Saint-Brieuc is one of the major scallop fishing regions in France and the city is home to great restaurants and an abundant market on Wednesday and Saturdays.

The house was built in the 19th century, stone walls, nice wooden staircase and flooring and high ceilings. The ground floor is a newly renovated kitchen and living room with a direct access to the garden. On the first floor you will find a brand new bathroom connected to a big bedroom and study. The second floor is composed of a renovated bathroom and three bedrooms. You will also have access to a big basement with a great place to store a few bottles of wine at perfect temperature !

The house is in a perfect location, just cross the street to walk in the park « des promenades » and access the kids playground. Twenty minutes walk will take you down a path following a small river and you’ll arrive in the newly renovated marina « le Legue », you’ll find authentic fishermen pubs, restaurants and bars. If you wish to walk a little longer (or ride our bikes) the end of the Legue brings you to the St Laurent beach. But you can also jump in the car and access different beaches in just 10 min drive from the house ! The city centre is only 5 min walk away. You’ll find the market, a theatre with international shows, two cinemas and all the shops you would need. The city is also very nice to visit with a variety of ancient houses and cobbled streets.

But even if life in Saint-Brieuc is great, Brittany is such a beautiful region that we invite you to push a little further during your stay. You can access any place on the coast in a couple of hours drive, and the coastline is so diverse, you could spend a lifetime discovering every hidden beauty !

If you’re in desperate need for the big city experience, you can catch a train to Rennes (45 min) or even Paris in only 2h15 min with the fast train. Our house is only 15 min walk away from the train station !
