About our home

Our apartment is 500 meters away from the famous Palace of Versailles ! It's on the third floor of a 1986 building, in a calm street in the oldest area(and for some most lovely) of Versailles, called 'Saint-Louis'. The apartment is one of only 10 in the building, and there's also two parking spaces for the cars in the basement. The surface is 101 square meters, with a big living room, three bedrooms, one study room, two bathrooms (one with a tub, one with a shower), one toilet, and one kitchen where three people can eat. The views from the windows are honestly great...

More about us

  1. We are Aude & Laurent (47, 44) with two children (aged 13, 10). Laurent is a TV sport journalist and commentator, specialized in Motorsport, and also a comic books writer ! Aude is an assistant, former travel agent - she also used to live in Tokyo for four years. We absolutely love to travel abroad. We made two swaps in 2007, in Norway and in Australia, and one more in 2009 in Australia again. It went really well, and all the families involved were happy ! This is a great concept to get to know other cultures. Be sure also that we will be very respectful of others' belongings. Our kids are girl and boy, well behaved and happy to learn other languages.

Where is it?

No need to say that Versailles is one of the most celebrated cities in France, worldwide famous for its gorgeous Palace where king Louis XIV was living... We are only 500 meters from the main entrance and our neighbourhood include some of the oldest streets of Versailles... Close to our apartment is also the railway station 'Versailles Rive Gauche' where all the trains are available for Paris (25km from Versailles actually). Obviously, some motorways surround Versailles to go to Paris by car very easily... The gardens of the Palace are absolute must-see places, so are some areas in the city - charming with a lot of traditional french shops. Lots of restaurants too !
