About our home

This is a charming old house, set in the vineyards of Burgundy. It has 3 double bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom, 3 bathrooms and 2 additional WCs. The common area includes one big living room which was used as a small concert hall, another living room with fine music equipment and chimney, a library with home cinema, fully equipped kitchen with a wonderful dome oven; washing room and cellar. The acoustic of the house is incredible and we enjoy listening to our extensive collection of classical music CDs. We also have quite a big movie collection and selected opera DVDs .The house has two nice gardens, one of which is very private and the other is open to the surrounding fields. There is a local heating and given the width of the walls (60 to 80 cm real stone) the house is pleasantly fresh in summer. We have two bicycles and can leave 2 cars optional.

The village of Chardonnay, which gave the name to the world famous grape, is just few kilometers away. The Pouilly Fuisse is some 10 min away. There are many opportunities to visit local and famous wine producers, enjoy the wine and the cheese of the region and sample the gourmet food of the many fine restaurants around. For historical sites visits, Cluny, Vezelay, Beaunne, Dijon and Lyon provide an ample opportunity to learn about some of the important medieval centers of Europe; and Paris is 1h30m away by TGV. There are 2 golf courses and a good equestrian facility nearby.
