Saint-Germain en Laye is the royal town where french kings were born and lived until Versailles construction.
Our mansion was built at the XVII th century. It has belonged to prestigious noble families. First to an inspector of the "Ponts et Chaussées" corps, which counts in its rows renowned scientists and Nobel prices.
It has been sold in 1753 to Nicolas Gaspard Boucault, great name of history of the canadian colony of Quebecq, councillor of king, particular lieutenant of the provostship, knight of the royal order.
In 1774 our hotel private individual has been purchased by Sir Bergeron de Chaumont, the "bailiff of the chamber of King", a great honor as it is the oldest corps of the King's house, limited to sixteen persons. They have the honor to be appointed to the internal guarding of its majesty, and thus attend all its everyday life. This responsibility was exercised under Louis XIV by colonels and captains of royal vessels.
The illustrious Hémart family who possessed numerous seigneurial lands, among which those of Saint-Germain has later lived in this mansion.

LUXURY: Our home has the best modern amenities and palace services. Each room has an originality. It has been featured in magazines, TV show, and in a beautiful book "The new 18th century home".

SUNNY DAYS: Private peaceful garden, with outside antique bath with warm water.
MAGIC WINTER: 4 fireplaces (in bedroom & bathroom too) for the magical winter period when all the house and the garden are specially decorated to welcome Santa Claus (seen on TV)

Saint-Germain-en-Laye, renowned as the nicest town around Paris, is really wonderful, and it's a true parisian girl (since several generations) that says it! As beautiful and alive than the best districts of Paris. The most famous french kings were born or lived here ( castle is 2 min. by walk from home). It was the main french royal castle until Versailles' construction, Versailles being at 10 min by cab from home.

All by walk: castle, subway (3 min.), forest, shoppings. Home is in the historical center which is like a busy district of Paris with renowned shoppings (700), walking streets, restaurants, flea market 3 days per week, etc. All shops are opened sundays until lunch.

DAILY MAID included in the exchange, and asked in return. It's real holidays for everyone this way, and such a small expanse compared to hotel's cost. Our cleaning lady is very discreet, professionnal and efficient. She comes in the afternoon, so guests are never disturbed.
Luxury amenities, champagne & chocolates at arrival. Many others luxury services on request: massage at home, cooking lessons, baby-sitting, etc. Maximum of comfort

1 super king size bed of (240 x 200 cm) 95" W, with Tempur-pedic mattress in the master suite.
1 king size bed (200 x 200 cm) in the friends bedroom
1 queen size bed (160 x 200 cm) in the teen age bedroom, with Tempur-pedic mattress.
1 single bed (90 x 200) in the kid's bedroom, with Tempur-pedic mattress

Forest at the end of our street with our bicycles at you disposal. Olympic pool at 10 min by walk. Castle gardens next to home for a magical jogging. The most private and exclusive golf of Paris is 5 min by car from home, possible to try if you take a private lesson with a teacher we can recommend.
PSG soccer team, one of the best in Europe, has his training camp in Saint-Germain en Laye! It gives you an idea about the luxury sportive installations this town offers.
