About our home

My one-bedroom apartment, 45m2, is on the first floor, walk up, of a well-maintained typical French 19th century building in a pedestrian street in the centre of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Cosy and chic, it has a small double bedroom onto a quiet rear courtyard, a living room with a comfy sofa bed that can sleep two if required and an adjoining dining area. The kitchen and shower room are basic and functional. The entire apartment was recently repainted so is spotless. My home is best suited for two or three people at most, but not small children ( low windowsills). No pets are allowed. Non simultaneous exchanges are possible.

Where is it?

The apartment is very conveniently located in a pedestrian street in the centre of town close to shops, cafes, restaurants, the cinema and the Chateau de Saint Germain en Laye, with its formal gardens and famed 17th century terrace overlooking the Seine, built for Louis XIV in 1673. The town itself in lively has the feel of an upscale Paris arrondissement - minus the city pollution. St Germain is surrounded by nature, with the Foret de Saint Germain and its 54kms of paths and cycling tracks a short walk away. Less than five minutes' on foot from the apartment, opposite the chateau, the RER high-speed urban train gets you into central Paris in 25 minutes. The RER A, which is every ten minutes, stops at the Arc de Triomphe, the Paris Opera, Gare de Lyon (for trains to the South of France) and has easy connections for the Eurostar.
