About our home

Our house has been build in 2005. It's a very nice place to live and to relax. It is a large house, very sunny with all the living rooms exposed south, and the bedrooms either south, east or west. The kitchen is enlarged by a 5 windows bow window in which you can have your meals. It is completly equiped with a grill, a fraizer, microwave, dish washer, washing machine, dryer and a expresso. If it's sunny you can enjoy the 40 m2 terrasse by just opening the door/window. In the 600 m2 garden you can enjoy a barbecue and sun chairs. An electric door gate allows to come into the garden with a car, while a videophone and a digital code at the doorgate allows you to filter the new comers. From the parents' suite (bedroom, dressing and bathroom)you have a direct access to a balcony to spend the first, or the last hours of the day. The three other rooms are equiped with a one personn bed and plenty of kid's toys. We have two satellite dishes to receive french and english TV and two sets of DVD for zone 1 & 2. We have enjoy Highspeed WIFI Internet and we have also a real piano and plenty of books. The security of the house is taken care by an digital code alarm.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our house is situated in a quiet street of a small village, 5 min from Saint-Germain en Laye, where you can take the RER (express train) to PARIS : 30 min. It is the more convenient way to visit this beautiful city. Our neighbourhood is very calm and quiet. We are 3 min walk from a forest, 5 min walk from the little shops of the village including a typical French boulangerie and a golf for those who like it. Our house is a perfect situation to visit France's famous places. Paris first of all, that you can access in a bit more than 30 min door to door. A daily visit or a half day visit to Paris are completly possible. I commute my self every day to go to work. In Saint Germain-en-Laye 5 min by car you'll be able to visit the castle build during the Renaissance by François 1er. Louis XIV was born there and loved to spend a lot of time in the neighbourhood. Louis XIV's beautifull Versaille castle is only 15 min by car from our house, while the impressionist pintors Claude Monet in Giverny and Van Gogh in Auvers sur Oise 45 min by car from the house will surprise you. From Saint Germain you'll also be able to drive to the beaches of Normandy in 1,5 hours (Deauville, Cabourg, Omaha beach, Utaha Beach)to the famous places of the D-day, or to spend some days in the Loire's valley (2 hours driving) to visit the King's of France castles : Chambord, Chenonceaux, Blois, Amboise, Azay-le-Rideaux.
