Come and stay in our beautiful 18 century manor house with bags of character, a lovely garden well stocked with fruit and vegetables, hens, fresh eggs and large heated swimming pool. We are situated a short drive from the popular resorts of Biarritz, Bayonne, St Jean de Luz and the surfing destination, Hossegor. The Spanish border is under an hour away with the world-renowned foodie hotspot of St Sebastien. Our house was built in 1780 as a stopover stay run by nuns on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. We have renovated over the years to make a home with new modern bathrooms, a heated pool, high quality mattresses and fabulous linens but retaining the character of the original house which was so important.
We are a couple who met at Leiths School of Food and Wine in London and set up a business in SW France. We are eager to experience the food and culture of other countries around with the world.
St Jean de Marsacq is a typical small village in SW France. It’s quiet but has a bakery for morning croissants, baguettes and pain au chocolat, a good restaurant and a farmers market twice a month.
