More about us

  1. We are a couple with 2 children and a close friend who would like to exchange our respective places in Saint-Malo and Rennes (Brittany – France) for just one in the very centre of London (we are also open to other places).
Thierry (video technician at a local station of national TV France3) and Magali (currently back to english studies) are the owner of the town house. We have an 11 year old boy and an 8months old baby girl.
Laurence is the owner of the flat in St Malo, also working for local TV station France3.
We are very respectful and adaptable, also opened to other cultures.

All amenities nearby: fine (but not too expensive!) restaurants, bars, supermarket, post-office and theatre.

The flat is overlooking the Solidor Tower (which houses the Cape-Horner’s sailors Museum) and the harbour from which left some famous corsairs like Surcouf. Jacques Cartier also departed from there to aboard Canada (Quebec) in the XVIth c. From this spot, there is an amazing view on the Cote d’Emeraude stretching as far as Cap Frehel.
The St Vincent cathedral shelters the tomb of the well-known romantic French writer Chateaubriand.
If lucky, you might be able to attend the departure of the Route du Rhum sailing race, which boats stand at the bottom of the fortifications.
The Mont St Michel is 20km far from St Malo and the wild coast of the Point du Grouin about 10km. (for further information check www.saint-malo-tourisme.com)

Town house in Rennes:
Rennes is the capital of Brittany, main area of celtic influence in France. Some well-known places such as Broceliande Forest (30 km far from Rennes) are supposed to be one of those where King Arthur's legend took place.
Rennes and its surrounding have a strong cultural and musical tradition with lots of festivals.
We are 5/10 mn from the city center, easily reachable via bus service (every 10mn).
Quiet area with famous food market nearby.
