About our home

This is a purpose-built holiday studio in a small block (about 100 units) with secure access, staffed reception desk and well-maintained gardens.

The studio has a double sofa bed, a little 'cabin' with bunk beds and another single sofa bed (photos are pre-2021 with the 'old' decor) . It has a modern shower room and a small fully functioning kitchen (no oven) with enough pans, crockery glasses etc for 5 people. The main room has a large balcony (I eat out here all winter) overlooking the yacht harbour and the sea beyond.

All studios are currently being refurbished in a lighter more modern style but the photos give an idea of the size of the apartment which is designed for 2 adults and three children.

All common areas are cleaned daily and bed linen is laundered and changed frequently (no charge). There is also a large washing machine and drier on the ground floor for residents to use (small charge).

The studio is well-heated (all costs are included) and gets lots of light even in winter.

It's on the second floor with great views.

Underground secure parking is provided.

Reception accepts deliveries and sorts mail as well as providing information, security and a friendly face.

Most of the other winter residents in the block are either yacht owners or retired people like me looking for fresh air, restaurants and an outdoor life. There's usually about 20 of us outside school holidays.

It's in a small village with lots of cute bars and cafes and a big Saturday market all year. Lots of cliff path walks.

The village is quieter in the winter but still has enough visitors and over-winterers to keep all the restaurants going.

There are three small beaches in the village and all within five minutes walk of the studio. There's a sailing school, a diving school and places to hire boats.

All the wonderful towns of the Cote d'Azur are within easy driving distance - St Tropez, Hyeres, Cannes, Nice etc. Our nearest large town is Toulon and there's a ferry every fifteen minutes from my village to get there.

St Mandrier is situated in a small area of the South of France ( it's just about the most southerly stretch of the French coast) which gets significantly warmer winters and more sunshine than the rest of the country. I've added various dated photos from my morning walks around the village so you can see how great the weather is all winter.
