About our home

We have a cosy house, not luxurious but very comfortable. We have exchanged five times before, and our exchangers were all very much satisfied with the accomodation. We offer a large bedroom and three children's bedrooms and an extra guestroom in the basement. There is cosy living room with fireplace, and a kitchen large enough to eat in with six persons. The house is surrounded by a garden with a swing and a large terrace and is located in a quiet neighbourhood about 7 minutes walking from the historical center of town (Sélestat). The neighbours are friendly and helpful and speak fluent english. They have contributed a lot to the success of our exchangers' holidays! We also exchange our car.

Where is it?

Sélestat is surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The Vosgian mountains are only a 20 minutes drive away with lots of hiking possibilities and heaps of castles to visit. Colmar is located at 20 minutes driving, Strasbourg at 45 minutes, Paris at 2 hours 20 by train TGV (very high speed). We defineltely recommend you to take the train for Paris, by car it will take you 5 hours. Skiing possibilities in Winter.
Switzerland is just one hour of driving away. Germany is just over the border (20 minutes) and Luxembourg and Belgium are about a 3 hours drive away!
