About our home
This nice functionnal house is located in a quiet street is very agreable to live in, and Tours being at the center of the "Chateau de la Loire" valley, it 'is the promise to a lot of excursions. The house is on 4 levels and offers plenty of space for a 6 to 7 kids familly (even the parents can come along...) Our garden is nice to enjoy in the morning or for late suppers.
Would'nt we be living here, we would love to come for the vacations! Yes, it's true: we dont have a TV... but with high speed Internet and if you bring your laptop even the most intoxicated teenager will survive...

Laurence & Guillaume, we've been married for 12 years and have owned this house for four years. We're parents of 4 (three girls and one boy) of 11, 9, 6 and 4 years old. We own a dog, an Australian Sheppard named "Effata" who joined the family on January 2010. We are quite the welcoming kind, enjoying to have friends home on a casual way. Guillaume is on the corporate communication and organisation business, Laurence is language therapist (orthophonist) working with elder people.
We've first-time exchanged two years ago our house with a family of Dublin and have enjoyed it very much, last year we'we done it again with a lovely couple of Belgium and their four kids : besides all financial aspects, sharing your home and living at somebody's home abroad (and not in an inpersonal rented house) is definitely a great way of spending vacations and living from within a culture.

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
We have very friendly neighbourgs (meaning on the side of the street that is not the jailhouse, but the prisonners dont wander around the neigbourhoud that much...and our brand new windows isolate us from the street noise, anyway) Upon french standards, where people are not that openhearted compare to other cultures, our neigbourgs are quality people that we can count on.
We're located on the south side of the town, 3 (real) minutes bikking to a big park with a brand new pool and cycling tracks that can lead you down to Saumur (70 fm) or even Angers (100 km). We have plenty of grocery shops, bakery, etc around and the heart of the city is 10 minutes away on bus, 3 on a car, 5 on a bike.
Tours is described as a "calm" town where the art of "joie de vivre" is most seriously practiced ; we've lived here for 9 years coming from Paris and have not yet stopped enjoying it.
