About our home

Our home is a cosy studio with a main room with polished floorboards, a kitchen with a sloped ceiling, a bathroom and a dressing room. The main room has a convert sofa-bed where two people can sleep. We also have a big inflatable mattress if needed. Our pride and joy where we spend most of our free time is the huge (approximately 40m2) private balcony/terrace with a panoramic view of Paris' southern suburbs and the nearby forest of Meudon. It is equipped with a gas barbecue, a hammock, comfortable chairs, tables, some aromatic herbs and flowers according to the season.

More about us

  1. We value the simple things that life has to offer. We are scientists and we love our job, but we also make the most of our free time.
We love to travel and discover new places by ourselves and get off the beaten track when possible. Hence we like chatting with local people and feeling like a part of the places we visit.

Where is it?

Our studio is located in a nice and quiet area, but is close to Paris' excellent public transport facilities (5min to train station to Montparnasse, 10 min to the metro/underground/subway) that take you directly to the centre of Paris in about 10 minutes. There is also a bus stop 1 minute from our home which goes to the train line, RER-B stop Laplace, that goes to both of Paris' biggest airports, Charles de Gaulle (Roissy) and Orly.

Furthermore, Paris offers an excellent automated bike hire system and there are many stations within 5 minutes walk from our home (1¤ for a day, 5¤ for a week).

You can also find nice places to go for a relaxing walk since it is near Meudon forest and not far from the Seine. It is great to have a coffee and/or lunch in a family friendly neighborhood and a non touristic environment. Twice a week, at Mairie d'Issy square and also the Clamart marketplace (both roughly 10 min walks), you will find fresh food markets with every type of typically french produce you can imagine. You frequently find brocantes on Sundays. Naturally being in Paris you will find many bakeries closeby so that you can compare all of their baguettes and croissants.

There is also a free running track less than 5 minutes walk from our home in addition to an indoor pool.
