About our home

A 1910's charming house in a large garden with a nice swimming pool. Our house has been completely renovated three years ago. Downstairs are the leaving room with a large fireplace, the dining room with a shiny bay window, the kitchen and the veranda opened to the yard. All the rooms on first floor have hardwood floors. There are 3 nice bedrooms, 2 of which have en-suite bathrooms (1 with bathtub, 1 with shower stall and WC). There are also 1 separate WC. The master bedroom has a Californian Queen size bed and each of the two children's bedrooms has a full size bed. On second floor, there is also a TV room with a convertible couch, a playroom with a king size bed and an office. The yard is large (1500 sq meters) and offers cherry, apple and plum trees. A large swimming pool (10 x 6 meters) with a large wooden terace complete this cosy and charming house.

More about us

We are a family of 4, a couple around 50s and 2 young adults 19 and 21 years old. We have traveled a lot all around the world, we are seen as open minded people.
We work in the Human resources area, Stephanie is a coach, Frederic is a sales manager in training industry. We like good food and wine, nature, culture and people. We are looking for people who will take good care of our home, as we promise to do with theirs.
We have done already two swaps of house (Italy and USA) and it was a great experience. We share our life between Versailles and Aix en Provence in South of France.

Where is it?

Medan is a small, picturesque village/town 26 kilometers west of Paris, which is very easily accessed by the A14 highway (25 minutes from Champs Elysées). The train will take you to the heart of Paris in about the same time (Gare Saint Lazare/ Paris department stores). Medan is the village of famous french writter Emile Zola and has a magnifical castle of 14th century. Medan is 20 minutes from Giverny (Monnet's house), 20 minutes also from Versailles and its famous chateau,1 1/4 hours from Rouen and 1 1/2 hours to the beaches of Deauville and 2 hours from 1945 D Day beaches. Still nearby, Saint Germain-en-Laye, on top of its many stores, boutiques and typical French market, has a beautiful chateau housing a museum of prehistory. DisneyLand Paris is about an hour away from our home. The Seine river runs through Medan, which makes the village really quaint and beautiful and there is the possibility of some water sports. We live five minutes away from a golf course and a bowling alley. There are many parks in the area.
