About our home

Our villa (165 m2)is comfortable, clean, and spacious. It has a large kitchen with adjoining dining room (70 m2, a mezzanine (35 m2) with bed, 3 bedrooms with 3 private bathrooms, 2 separated WC. The villa is in the middle of a big garden (2000 m2) with terraces, barbecue, a small swimming pool for children, many big trees and flowers. We have a marvellous view on the medieval castle, village and the mountains surrounding. I love spending time in my home and having friends over, it is warm and inviting.

More about us

  1. We are Olivier and Sylvie, a couple with 2 daughters: 10 years and 4 years old. We are both professionals (librarian and water engineer) and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see yours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in France.

Where is it?

Ideally located as a touring base to visit the volcanoes and roman arts of Auvergne. Our small village (200 unhabitants)offers easy access to the cities of Billom, Issoire, Clermont-Ferrand in around an hour and the tourist attraction of Vulcania in similar time. For teenagers: horsing, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, tennis is possible in the village and surrounding. The last wilderness river of France Allier river is 10 minutes driving far from our home for fishing, canyoning, beach.
