“We stayed in the home of Philippe and Jeanne for two weeks last summer and had a wonderful trip. The house is very special... so many places to sit and take in the beauty. We loved the pool and the outdoor cooking area, and found everything about the house easy. The weather was hot, but the house remained cool and pleasant - easy to sleep at night! Avignon itself is stunning, as is the surrounding area - we would have needed another two weeks just to discover the villages and markets. I would happily exchange with Philippe and Jeanne again into their same house - it made for a perfect holiday.”

All the rooms have a very sunny nice view on the landscape of Provence. There are three bathrooms and three WC. A large lounge room and a parental bedroom with direct openings on the garden. Two dining rooms: one internal and one external. For sports, there are a large swimming pool (16 m X 6 m) and its pool house and four bicycles. The garden is 7500 square meters large with a typical nature of Provence.
And, if you want, we have two very nice she cats (Maine Coons)....

Philippe's reviews
As a host (2)“If you would like to visit Provence, this home may be a perfect base for your day trips. Located on a cute street just across the bridge from Avignon, the beautiful house reminds you of the old times when the Palais des Papes was still full of grandeur and splendor. The house has a lot of beautifully decorated space downstairs, divided into a study, a sitting room, and a big living room with the French doors opening to the garden. This is not to mention a lovely kitchen with lots of big windows. We enjoyed our meals outside, under a huge sycamore tree; the garden is beautiful and you can also view it from upstairs from the terrace on the second or the third floor. There is a big market nearby (literally 3 min. by car) that is open every Thursday; you can buy anything from delicious bread to linen dresses there. We went at the end of May, 2014, and loved every moment of our staying there. It is not just a house, it is a gorgeous property with lots of privacy; you will feel privileged. Simon and Marina”

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
The house is located 1.5 km. far from the center of Avignon, in a quiet residential area near centre shops and markets. Avignon is a city internationally renowned for arts, as the capital of Côtes du Rhône (wine) and as tourism centre of Provence. The railway station is 10 minutes far from the house and it takes 35 minutes by TGV to Marseille, 20 minutes to Aix en Provence and 2.30h to Paris. It feels good and safe at our home. We have maps and books to organize nice trips and good holidays. A car can be at your disposal.
