About our home

Our home is comfortable, clean, and spacious. It used to be a big farm long time ago and we tried to renovate it for 30 years keeping the rural spirit with all the modern comfort. You have one main house (with a parental suite adapted for wheelchair, four bedrooms with queen size beds and one with baby beds, three bathrooms, 2 toilets, one large kitchen, a laundry, one dining room with a large open fireplace, and a sitting room with sofa and library with amazing view on the mountains...), a huge barn (400 m² with place for playing and parking) and a small house ("petite maison") with fully modern equipment for a 5-person family in total independance. Moreover you will enjoy the terrace and the heated swimming-pool located on the south of the property with view on the mountains.
We have one house-keeper and one gardener who take care of the property (prices on demand).
We love spending time in our home and having friends over, because the whole property breathes a warm, inviting and relaxing atmosphere.

More about us

We are a family of four and the boy-friend of one of our girls.
We are in the early sixties, non-smokers, have one dog and one cat.
Our girls are 23/24 year's old.
Michèle, the wife is a retired head purser of Air France, Roland is an ansthesiologist, still working in Paris.
Gaïane is currently passing her Bachelor's in Hospitality Management at the Savignac School in Southern France and Sacha, our youngest daughter will pass her Master's degree at Columbia University in NY/NY the coming school year.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Located in the heart of Natural Livradois-Forez Park between Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, the property is in a really quiet surronding with only one neighbour, who has 40 goats and makes very famous goat cheese.
In the immediate neighbourhood, you can enjoy horse riding, biking, skiing (during winter), motorcycling... and above all you can taste french specialities : wine, cheese, fresh vegetables (from the garden).
Le Grand Bois is 45 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand and 1h30 from Lyon (with motor highway connection). Moreover, Marseille is 3h30 and Paris 4h by car.
Clermont-Ferrand has an international airport and ten flights connections to Paris daily.
All major shopping centers are within a 20 minutes drive, we have even a Casino at 10 minutes with restaurants open late in the night.
