More about us

  1. We are a family with two children, a girl, 9, and a boy, 11. We are in our mid fourties, both political scientists. We love making music, reading, travelling and jogging in the nearby forests. The people here are very communicative and are often outside chatting. Children can play safely outside in the street, theré is no traffic and no danger even for younger kids. In the warm summernights we love to sit on the terrace with a nice glass of very good white or red whine from this area.

Where is it?

We live in a very nice region called
Taunus and Rheingau ("Middlemountains" of Germany, that is smooth-hills,like in Tuscany)with half-timbered houses. Very open-minded neighborhood, very lovely and quiet housing area with lots of kids, railway station, nice public pool. Car and many bicycles available. Children are very welcome. Two playgrounds nearby (five minutes walk). Densely wooded area, historical villages and castles. Bad Camberg is an old spa town founded over 1000 years ago with half-timbered houses, good shopping, lots of organic food. Sightseeing: Limburg an der Lahn (20 minutes by car or train). Frankfurt, Mainz, Lorelei, Rüdesheim/river Rhine (about 40 km) with its famous vineyards and castles, Rheingau, the Westerwald), several amusement parks nearby. 60 Minutes to Cologne.
No flies or mosquitos in the summer, sitting outside without annoying insects at night! . Nice pubs, cafes and Restaurants nearby.
