“Bad Homburg was an interesting place to visit and one could easily spend 2 or 3 weeks there viewing the Old City, the modern centre and the surrounding sights. Brigitte's home was modern, new, clean and compact. We felt comfortable there and were met by Brigitte's friend on arrival. A number of Brigitte's friends were most hospitable and welcomed us into their home city. Ample information about transport, restaurants and sights worth seeing was left for us. Public transport in the form of modern buses was about 200 metres away and readily accessible. Buses transported us to the Bad Homburg Railway Station and we were able to travel easily to Frankfurt from there. In close proximity was a REWE grocery store, a bank, bakery and beer outlet. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bad Homburg and would highly recommend a homestay there. Steve and Kay”
Brigitte's reviewsAs a host (3)
“We spent a 3 lovely weeks in Brigitte’s apartment, in Bad Homburg. Our communications were very smooth and Brigitte was very accommodating. Her daughter was able to pick us up at the Airport in Frankfurt and show us where to go for groceries etc. Brigitte was nice enough to look after reserving a local taxi online from Canada for us when we left, as the website was in German, a language we are not comfortable with, and her daughter was back at work. The driver spoke good English, so giving directions and paying was not a problem. Her neighbours were very helpful as well, the few times we needed help. The area has lots of interesting sites to explore, and the town is lovely. Overall I would definitely recommend an exchange”
“It was a pleasure to stay in Brigitte's house. It's compact, comfortable, minimalistic stylish with two rooms, a living, small kitchen but fully equiped and a small terrace. We felt at home immediately. The apartment is in a modern complex and is easy to reach. Brigitte left us lots of good tips from the lovely Italian restaurant Limoncello to the monastery Eberbach where the movie In the name of the rose was shot. Also Frankfurt and some wonderful modern museums are in the neighbourhood. ”
