“We completed our fifth exchange at Easter in Berlin. This apartment was great, it was very easy to use the efficient transport network in Berlin. Just a bus and a train ride got you into central Berlin, public transport is very reasonable. The area itself is very quiet with lots of parks nearby, cycle ways to the nearby bakery etc. Berlin is a great destination, with plenty to do for our holiday of 6 nights. I would definitely recommend both the city and this apartment. The host family were very helpful and communication was prompt and effective. Enjoy!”

“Over the summer we spend a week in this family house in a suburb to Berlin. We had a great week - the kids enjoyed the house, the toys, the trampoline and the many nearby playgrounds. The house is very cosy, and we realized that after some days it really gave us a "home feeling", probably because of the personal decorations and obvious attention to creating a good atmosphere. We will learn from that :) We walked to the metro many of the days with our 5 year old, so absolutely doable. This part of Berlin is very charming, nice houses, calm, very nice shops with high quality groceries, and the restaurants were very friendly towards kids. Getting to down town Berlin is very easy - and the city in itself is a must see for any European citizen. So much history, so many landmarks and much to do also with smaller kids. Not to miss out on the Ritter Chokoladeshop :) The family treated our house very well and were very helpful when we realized we had forgotten an important belonging in their house. Surely we recommend exchanging with this family.”
“We spent 8 days in this lovely apartment. The apartment is in a lovely location,10 min walk to the U-station. The owners were lovely and we felt very good with tips and help in Berlin before and during our stay. The apartment is very spacy and very clean and warm. We had a wonderful vacation !”
“My daughter spent a lovely seven weeks exploring Berlin and Europe. Our temporary home was a delightful, historic second floor flat in the trendy neighborhood of Kreuzberg with a balcony overlooking a chestnut lined canal. In the evening, we eat dinner on the balcony and watch pedestrian and canal traffic go by. The neighborhood is full of young families and the playgrounds are always filled with children. Travel in Berlin was very easy since the flat was close to two U-Bahn line stops. There is so much to see and experience in the city, which is very clean for a large city and is full of large trees which makes even the most central locations seem like a smaller neighborhood. Berlin Hauptbahnhof was close by so train travel out of Berlin was very easy to orchestrate allowing easy access to Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and southwest Germany. We had wonderful time in Bavaria and the Black Forest. Maren and Hans-Gerd were very kind, helpful and patient. I would highly recommend an exchange with this family.”
“We had a great exchange with Maren, Hans-Gerd and their two girls in the summer of 2016. Their house in the Zehlenberg suburb of Berlin was very big and comfortable, stylishly furnished and perfectly clean when we arrived. The kids enjoyed the trampoline, we played many games of table tennis in the garden, and we loved riding their bikes. Beside that, Maren gave us some very good advice where to go with the children. We especially liked the Waldhochseilgarten Jungfernheide, where we climbed between the trees. When we arrived back home, we found our house in a perfect state. We highly recommend an exchange with this family.”
