About our home

We have a beautiful, spacious apartment in the neighborhood of 'Kreuzkölln', between Kreuzberg and Neukölln. The apartment has two big and bright bedrooms one with a double bed, a baby-bed and baby changing table, the other one with a double-bed. The living room has areas for lounging and dining, many bookshelves and an adjoining small balcony. The cosy kitchen has a dining table for up to five people. Our apartment is a typical 'Berliner Altbau' with wooden floors and high plastered ceilings.

Neighbourhood

Our apartment is situated in the middle of Kreuzkölln, a multicultural area that has become popular among students, artists and young families within the last few years. There are many cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, small galleries, but also playgrounds and family-friendly cafes in walking distance to our apartment. According to the New York Times, Kreuzkölln "has become a thriving, culturally rich area, primed for art and night life."

The green area around the 'Landwehr-Kanal' and the river Spree is very close. One of the neighborhood’s highlights is the sprawling Turkish market that bursts to life twice a week, under the shade of the willow trees along the banks of the canal. There is also a lively flea market with live music twice a month.
