About our home

We live in a new house built in 2012 with a great garden and a view of the old Tempelhof Airport. The Airport closed in 2008, now it's an open space where you can go for a walk, roller skate or even kite.
We share a 6000 square meter garden with the surrounding 15 buildings, it's very nice. From your South balcony, you have a good view of the garden.
There are big windows, and you can often see a beautiful sunrise from the kitchen in the morning. We have two new, well-equipped bathrooms, bath tub and shower apart. Our neighbours are very nice and helpful.

Sonja's reviews

As a host (3)

More about us

  1. I am a journalist and single mother of three boys: Rafa, 14 years old, Simón, 12 years old, and Ari, 9. Our family speaks Spanish and German, since we have lived in Mexico. We like to travel with my friend, also a single mother.
We don't have a car, but we have 5 adult bikes and several children's bikes. Also, it's easy to get around Berlin by public transport.

  2. We have two cats we would like you to take care of: Nuno and Purri

  3. We are experienced exchangers, since we have swapped 6 times, but partly with another platform, so I guess there are not so many reviews. We speak Deutsch/English/Español/Francais

Where is it?

We live in lively Bergmannkiez, on the west end of Kreuzberg. Walk down to Bergmannstraße and enjoy Turkish, Thai, Sudanese, Vietnamese, Mexican food or just sit in one of the cafes and watch people walk by.
Our metro stations are Platz der Luftbrücke and Gneisenaustraße, only 4 stations from the center. It's also easy to go anywhere by bike: Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburger Tor etc.
In the summer, you can go to many beautiful lakes around Berlin to go swimming. You can reach Dresden and Hamburg easily by train.
