About our home

We offer a spacious, urban apartment located in the heart of Berlin. The building is located in the former eastern part of Berlin and was completely renovated in 2000. The Wilhelminian style apartment (built around 1900) has wooden floors in all the rooms, the ceilings are 3,80 m high. The windows are huge and have sound insulation, so that it is urban, but not loud. There are 2 bedrooms and a 40 square meter living room with a sofa-bed as well as an eat-in-kitchen. All the bedrooms are located facing the quiet green courtyard. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and toilet, the other has a shower, bath and toilet. We love to live in the heart of Berlin where one can get to all the interesting places very easily by walking or taking public transport or a short-distance taxi. We own a car, but we hardly ever use it. We love to cook, so our kitchen is well equipped with anything one might need. We live and work in the same building. At the back of our office we have a room for our au pair, which can also be used if required.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our apartment is located in the Berlin Mitte district, right next to Oranienburger Tor, at the end of Friedrichstrasse. The neighborhood is very lively, night and day. There are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. The area is well known for its galleries for international contemporary art and young designer stores. Sightseeing highlights such as the Hackesche HÃ¶fe, Bahnhof Friedrichstrasse, Museumsinsel, Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and the new central station are within walking distance. Buses, trams and the subway all stop right by our door. Two houses down the street there is a bicycle rental store. There are grocery stores opposite and 50 meters down the street, which are open all day until 10 pm. It takes approx. 20 minutes to get to Tegel airport by car.
