About our home

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a turn of the century building. It has one bedroom, one living room, another room (for our daughter), a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. Fully furnished with Wifi/DSL and telephone. The apartment is very sunny and quiet with the windows and balcony facing south.

The apartment is in Reuterkiez (Kreuz-Kölln)area of Neukölln, right next to wonderful Maybachufer. Quiet neighborhood, five minute walk to U8 Schönleinstrasse. and a short walk to Hermannplatz, Hasenheide Park...
This neighborhood is one of the most attractive ones in Berlin. See below...

Where is it?

The area called “Kreuzkölln”, lying between Kreuzberg and Neukölln, is the new ‘in’ district in Berlin. One original café or shop after the other has opened up here, students and young people come from all over the world to live here, and this is where the latest trends start.
The district lies in the north of Neukölln at the border of Kreuzberg, from Maybachufer along the Landwehrkanal (Landwehr Canal) and Kottbusser Damm. Here in Reuterstraße, Hobrechtsraße and Weserstraße with their unusual galleries and fashion stores is where you’ll find the current heart of Berlin’s art and sub-culture. At the same time, it’s also become the district for parties – a whole lot of partying goes on here in pubs and bars like Mama, Ä, Raumfahrer, Silverfuture or Kuschlowski. This is where the raw Neukölln charm mixes with the new impulses in art and nightlife at an exciting new level.
All the way up to Maybachufer, you’ll find cosy restaurants and cafés to spend a pleasant, relaxing afternoon or evening with a nice view of the waterside framed by old buildings.
In fact the long-established Ankerklause (Anchorage Retreat) pub on the bank of the Landwehrkanal has attained legendary status. This is where Quentin Tarantino is supposed to have celebrated during the shooting of his film “Inglorious Basterds”. (
