About our home

My home is a nice and cosy apartment located in Prenzlauer Berg. It has one bedroom, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. In the living room is a sofa where two people can sleep, too. It is not big but ideal for two people or maybe an additional person, child. There is a sunny little balkony as well, which is wonderful for having breakfast. The guests can use two bicycles as well.

More about us

  1. We, Thommy and Astrid, are a couple in the middle thirties, teacher and freelance graphic designer. We love travelling and discovering new places a lot and both have also worked and lived in other countries. We heard about home exchanges and became really interested in trying this. In the app. in Berlin it is mainly just me, Astrid, living there. Thommy has an apartment in Speyer. If you are interested, we can also offer it for exchange. (Speyer is a historic and really nice town close to Heidelberg, 30 min. by car. It is not far from Frankfurt or Straßbourg, France as well.)

Where is it?

The apartment is located in the former eastern part of Berlin. It has a quiet neighbourhood but central located so that you can reach any places in Berlin easily with public transport or by foot. From my home you can almost see parts of the Berlin Wall (100 metres walk at the end of the street). Along this "Mauerparksweg" you can have a walk or go by bicycle the whole route where the old wall was. Beside this historic location you can discover the local area of Prenzlauer Berg which is a nice, lively and young part of Berlin with nice restaurants, bars and shopping possibilities (about 15 min. walk).
