The perfect spot for a great stay in Berlin: One bedroom apartment (hosts 2 people) in Berlin's trendy area Neukolln-Kreuzberg. It offers everything you need: A fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, fridge (including a small freezer) and a washing machine - a bathroom with a tub, bedroom with a Queen size bed and a big living room with a huge sofa, a small TV set and a balcony attached. It is a very quiet apartment, but at the same time in the middle of urban life. The closest metro station is within 3 minutes walking distance, and from there you have easy access to all the places to be and see in Berlin.
I have been living in Berlin for more than 10 years (originally from the south of Germany) and can't imagine to live in another place in the world! I just love this city! Which doesn't mean I am not open to new experiences and exploring other places. So far, I also have lived in Sardinia for one year (did my Erasmus exchange program there) and in Sydney (for work&travel) for six months. I love to travel and get to know other places and people. Home exchange seems to be the perfect possibility to steep into living in another place. I am excited to get to know many different kinds of places and lives!
Right now, I've booked my flight to New York and hope to find someone to swap apartments in the period between 29/7/12-22/8/12. Looking forward to hearing from you!
You have lots of possibilities right around the corner of my apartment: Bars, cafes, cinemas, galleries and shopping possibilities... Also, Berlin's biggest park, former airport Tempelhof, is just a stone's throw from my home! It offers lots of possibilities like roller blading or kite surfing on the old runways, doing barbecues or even urban gardening.
Kreuzberg, the area attached to Neukolln and reachable within 5 min. from my apartment, is one of Berlin's most eclectic districts and offers multi-cultural urban life: Markets, restaurants and cuisines from countries from all over the world, night life (clubs and concerts), art and culture. My apartment is the perfect basis for a great stay in one of the most exciting cities in the world!
