About our home

Our home is a nice, toop floor flat in a typical charming Berlin house from the early 19th century. Entering the flat you find yourself in an ample space consisting of the open kitchen, the dining place and the living room which are connected and not separated by walls. We have three bed rooms, one of them is used by our boys (ages 10 and 8) and stuffed with corresponding toys. In the parents bed room we have a comfortable double-bed, and the third bed room has a single bed. In total there are three sofas offering more place for relaxing or sleeping. One bedroom opens to a sunroom in which the windows can be open completely offering you a great look at the sunset over the roofs of Berlin. We count with high speed WLAN in the flat, with a stereo and a large flat screen, which is not connected to TV, but to a DVD-player and to a PlaySation. We have a small cat which is shy but friendly and lives inside the flat only. The flat is in the 5th floor and no elevator available. We could offer a small car ideal for city traffic.

More about us

  1. We are a married couple in the early fourties. Verónica is from Argentina and Reinhard from Germany. We have two younger boys, 8 and 10 years old, and a 18 year old daughter. We have lived some years in Mexico and enjoy very much travelling, especially destinations which include beaches or cities. Verónica is a costume designer and Reinhard specialist for water management. Though we receive often friends in our house we never exchanged our flat with someone. Friends of us have made very good experiences with home exchanging and we hope very much to do the same. We are very keen on knowing new places and making new friends.

Where is it?

The flat though in central Berlin is very quiet. The neighbours in the house are very friendly, some of them have children. The neighbourhood is a typical Berlin neighbourhood with cobble-stoned streets, a lot of shops for the daily needs (also a supermarket open on Sundays) and people from different cultures. The house is 50m from the next station of the urban railway. Several urban railway and fast bus lines offer you a perfect starting point to discover Berlin (8 minutes to Potsdamer Platz) or the surroundings of Berlin (40 minutes to Potsdam). In a 10 minutes walk you can reach a public indoor swimming-pool and several parks. However, the best way to come around is in our point of view with the bicycle. We can offer you a male and a female bike and two children bikes.
