About our home

My flat is located in Schöneberg. It is that part of berlin which is famous for the well know words said by john f. kennedy when visiting berlin in 1963: " ich bin ein berliner". In my street you start the morning with great german breadrolls, freshly made in the bakery called brot und wein (bread and wine), fine italian slow food cusine is offered in a traditional restaurant called "aroma" where people, mostly bourgioisie from all parts of berlin, come to have dinner or take breakfast on sunday mornings starting from 11 o'clock.
public transport, the fast berlin underground and two major stations of the s-bahn, take you within 15 minutes to brandenburg gate and further.
in my neighbourhood you can visit the graveyards of the brothers grimm, early promoters of the european folk tales like cinderella and hansel and gretel.

My flat is a two room flat on the first floor, consisting of one larger room (about 20 sqm) and one smaller room (12 sqm). Kitchen with all equipement you need to prepare your own food. Maybe new for you will be the gas heating and cooking. But this is easy to learn. The Bathroom is small, but with bathtube, toilet and washbasin.
In case you come with bikes, there is a cellar where you can keep them safely.

I am 37 years old, and I am originally from Austria. I moved to Berlin in 1996 to finish my apprenticeship working in a farmacy. Then I studied Social Work in Potsdam.

I am very happy staying in Berlin, but I like travelling a lot knowing Romania by heart, Russia, Ucraine, and many other countries.

I like the idea of exchanging flats, which brings people together from anywhere in the world and giving the opportunity to get an insight into peoples every day life. I appreciate treating eachothers home with carefulness and respect privacy.
