Our apartment is spacious and comfortable, it is a typical Berlin apartment built in the 1920s. It has high ceilings with ornaments. It is really nice and we love it. We have 3 bedrooms, all with double beds. We have also 2 balconies, one belongs to the living room and you can sit outside and have breakfast e.g. (in the summer). The other one belongs to a bedroom and you can look into the backyard from there. There is highspeed internet (wifi) , TV, dishwasher, washingmachine, dryer and a microwave. There is also a room that can be used as an art studio. We are located close to buses and trains that take you to the sites of Berlin, if you want to go by bike feel free to use ours, there are two bikes waiting.
“Last Christmas we were in the house of Saskia and Klaus, in Berlin. A beautiful house, with high ceilings, wooden floors, lots of art and last but not least: lots of space. We found welcoming notes and little presents, and a huge X-Mas tree. Our stay in Berlin was perfect. We had the opportunity to meet them in Amsterdam, when we arrived home. Very kind people, who took care for our house and our cat, as if it was their own.”
We are Saskia (61) a business coach and Klaus-Peter Vellguth (59), an artist (painting and lithography) with 2 sons: Ruben (30) is an entrepreneur and Vincent (25) a student, they both live on their own. We also have 2 cats, that are easy to handle and very friendly. We like the idea of sharing homes, we think it makes you feel as a resident and you get a closer look how people live. We have done several home exchanges and we are sure that it is the perfect way to spend your holidays . We also like the idea that people have a good time and feel at home in our apartment, while they experience Berlin. We do appreciate if we can share pets too, that means if you have cats we would like to take care of them, if you would take care of ours.
Our home is located in a typical Berlin district (Schöneberg). From there you can get easily to all the famous parts of the city by bus, train or bike. You will find a supermarket across the street, a bakery next door and the train station is 2 minutes away. There are nice cafés, restaurants and a famous shopping street in walking distance.
