Neighbourhood

Our home lies in the south-west of Berlin. The district of Dahlem combines the proximity to the city centre with nearby green spaces. The leafy district is full of recreation areas with forests and lakes, cultural highlights and remarkable attractions. It is a perfect base to start out and explore Berlin. The city train line S1 takes you in 20 Minutes directly to the political center (Brandenburg gate, Reichstag). The Metroline U3 is in 15 Minutes at Kudamm street, Berlin's traditional flagship Shopping street.

The campus of the Freie Universität, the botanical garden and the Dahlem museum complex (Ethnological Museum, Museum of Asian Art and Museum of European Cultures) are in walking distance. The famous Glienicke Bridge, where spies were once exchanged, the Liebermann Villa, the famous artist’s summer house, the Unesco World Heritage city of Potsdam are close by. Three of Berlin’s most popular lakes for swimming are around: the Wannsee, Krumme Lanke, and the Schlachtensee.
