About our home

Our home is located in central Berlin at the border of two very popular neighborhoods, charming Prenzlauer Berg and lively alternative Friedrichshain. It is very well connected to the rest of the city with public transportation. The tram stop, serving 4 lines, is 5 min and the city-train 10 min away by foot. Our apartment is situated on the 3rd floor (no elevator!) of a typical old German apartment building on a quiet side street.
The apartment, 107 square meters in size, was completely renovated 6 years ago and it has:
- a big, modern, fully-equipped  kitchen combined with a living room
- 3 bedrooms (main with a queen bed, office/guest with a double sofa-bed (not in pictures) and a child with a bunk bed and single foldout sofa. We also have a fold-up mattress (but it's good for kids rather than grownups) .
- 1.5 bathrooms (main with a bathtub/shower and a guest toilet)
- two balconies

Since we have two small kids, the apartment is equipped with everything a family could need (travel cot, high chair, potty trainer, stroller, lots of toys, etc.).
We do not smoke and have no pets.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

I would describe Berlin as a hip, international and a all-kinds-of-people friendly city. It is very lively. Every day there is lots of cultural event of any type. It is also a capital of the most famous techno/electro clubs in Europe. It is also a city full of history. Our home is located between two lively neighbourhoods: charming Prenzlauer Berg and alternative Friedrichshain. Both are full of cafes and restaurants. In both you can find small farmers- and flea-markets (e.g. in Mauer Park or on Boxhagener Platz) on the weekends. Prenzlauer Berg is very family friendly, has lots of playgrounds. It is also a fashion district with many boutiques and galleries. In Friedrichshein there are many cool alternative clubs located in post-industrial places that often look abandoned at the first sight.
