“Lena was great to deal with, and her apartment was in a great position - close to lots of public transport, restaurants etc. Thoroughly recommend it.”

About our home
We offer a nice aprtment in the center of Berlin. We have two rooms: one bedroom with a double bed (and a piano) and the living room which has a nice and comfortable sofa- bed. We can also organize a kids travel bed or a second matress for adults (or kids). The kitchen is quite large and a nice table to sit up to 6 people (we had even 8 here). The balcony is lovely to sit on and since the apartment is in the backyard, its quiet, but only 2 minutes from the metro. Within 5-15 minutes using the metro or Tram you can get to Berlin Alexanderplatz, Hackischer Mark, Friedrichstrasse or Brandenburger Gate.
It's a typical Berlin apartment (the house is more than 100 years old, with wooden floor, and decorations on the top floor. The court yard is very large and green (two large trees) which makes it very quiet but still you are in the centre of Berlin.

Lena's reviews
As a host (4)“Lena's apartment was in a fantastic position. It was very quiet, with a large garden separating the apartment from the street. Once you were out in the street there were restaurants (the nearest one was Vietnamese where I got take-away almost every night) a great bakery, and a short walk to a good supermarket. There was lots of public transport straight outside (metro, trams, buses). Lena was very easy to deal with, and was very helpful with lots of information etc. We would thoroughly recommend an exchange with Lena and Abe”
“How wonderful to have accommodation right in the heart of Berlin but set in a private courtyard where you have a quiet space away from the hustle and bustle. Lena was fabulous to deal with and a wealth of knowledge on everything 'Berlin'. This city has so much to offer and with both the tram and train outside your front door this is the base to do it from. Not to mention restaurants and cafes galore! The apartment was clean and comfortable and very large compared to Paris where we were previously. We highly recommend Lena's place as a great spot and look forward to reciprocating ”
“We spent a week in Lena\'s appartment with our two young daughters. The house was welcoming and cosy and Lena lent us some toys from her brother, wich was a good thing to make the girls feel happy and "at home". The beds are good, kitchen and bathroom large enough and well furnished. The little Yard shared with The neighbouring hotel has a swing and room to park bikes safely. Prenzlauer Berg is a great area : many places to visit around with kids (parks, museum, Mauer park market...) and very easy for shopping (groceries) and dining : many restaurants of several different food ! The Subway, tramway, and buses stations are very close to The appartment (2 minutes) and drive us everywhere in The city easily ! We recommand Lena ´s place, central point to visit The beautiful city of Berlin ! Lena appreciated her stay in Nantes and left out house very well cleaned up !”

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
Lonely planet writes: "Splendidly well-groomed Prenzlauer Berg is one of Berlin's most charismatic residential neighbourhoods, filled with cafes, historic buildings and indie boutiques. It's a joy to explore on foot. On Sundays, the world descends on its Mauerpark for flea marketeering, summertime karaoke and chilling in the sun. It's easily combined with a visit to the quarter's main sightseeing attraction, the Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer, an engrossing 1.4km-long exhibit that explains how the Berlin Wall shaped the city."
The apartment is located in the center of Prenzlauer Berg, very close to the metro station U Eberswalderstrasse and 2 minutes walk to the Mauerpark, the wall museum Bernauerstrasse, 15 minutes walk to down town Berlin (Berlin Mitte). It has a nice balcony and is very quite.
Location:
Our apartment is located in Prenzlauer Berg next to Berlin Mitte and is a great location to explore Berlin from. The house is two minutes walking from Metro U2 Eberswalder Strasse and three minutes walking to tram M10, M1 and M12.
You can also walk to several attractions, for example Mauerpark, Kastanienallee, or even Alexanderplatz and its TV tower, the Berlin Cathedral, Karl Marx and Engel memorial and much more. Prenzlauer Berg has lots of great restaurants, grocery stores, bars, specialty food stores and pubs. Pharmacy, bank, coffee shops, ATMs, post office, boutique stores, live music, cinemas - are in easy walking distance.
Our apartment:
• Quiet, windows facing the backyard with a beautiful tree
• Fully Furnished
• Sofa bed (140x200cm) and if you are more than 2 people there is a double bed in the second room
• comfy duvet
• Wireless Internet (WiFi)

Transportation
The metro is very close and will get you to Alexanderplatz or S Schönhauser Allee in three minutes. Alexanderplatz is the closest hub and from here you have the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, Metro (tram) and Bus network to get you to where ever you wish to go.
The bathroom has a bath tub. The kitchen is fully equipped.
Prenzlauer Berg is the best part (we called it "Kiez") in Berlin, near to Berlin Mitte and with lots of history and things to go. It has great connection to the public transport and you are everywhere very quickly. There are nice restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets, parks, markets (flee markets and other) museums etc. everywhere.
The apartment is in the backyard of a building, very quite but if you step out the metro U2 Eberswalderstrasse is just 2 minutes. The S-Bahn is also nearby as well as metro M10, M1 and M12 (all U Eberwalderstrasse).
