About our home

The 85m2 apartment consists of a bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and loggia and is located in the heart of Berlin - Schöneberg.

I've been living in this apartment for 5 years and I would not give it up to anything in the world. It has the perfect size for a couple or very good friends. There is also a very spacious couch in the living room which can be used for 2 more people so 4 in total. The apartment is located in a house which is already over 100 years old. As it is a family friendly area, there is no real nightlife close by but you can find a lot of nice little bars around. Since the apartment is located on the backside of the building, you can totally relax and wont be disturbed by the hustle and bustle on the streets of this vibrant city. Shops and parks are within a 3-minute walk and the nearest lake is just 20 minutes away as the public transport connection is very good.

Why am I exchanging my apartment? My best friend Amélie and I are coming to Copenhagen for 10 weeks for an internship in an advertising agency. This is part of our study program. Since my own apartment would be empty in Berlin, it would be the perfect opportunity to exchange. We are two young, very tidy and organised girls who love graphic design, art and culture and we are already very much looking forward to our time in Copenhagen.

Where is it?

The apartment is located in the district Schöneberg. The electric neighbourhood is not typically known as an up-and-coming party spot, but this West area is rich in history. David Bowie found salvation here in the late 1970s, and before him, Albert Einstein and Christopher Isherwood lived in this neighbourhood too. Today, it is known as Berlin’s most gay-friendly district and it is home to many families and couples, who enjoy the beautiful area. There are a number of cool cafés and true Berliner-style bars to experience and as Schöneberg is located next to Kreuzberg and Mitte you are never far away from the next art exhibition or hip outdoor market.
