“We have had the pleasure to stay in Anke and Olaf's home in the fall of 2015. Our very last-minute request was very kindly accepted even though they already made other holiday plans for themselves, they still invited us to come to Berlin. The house feels very much like home, we loved to be their, especially since the garden is beautiful, there is a fireplace, an open kitchen and a very good bed; everything available for a great stay. Anke also invited us to have breakfast together before they left for their own holiday. We have experienced both Anke and Olaf as warm, welcoming, open people whom are willing to help you with all your questions about Berlin. Their home is in a quiet street and only a few minutes from the train station, which leads you to Berlin in 20 minutes time. a perfect place to stay. we also enjoyed a day at Potsdam. Thanks very much for the most pleasant stay Olaf and Anke, we hope to invite you back to Holland soon. Kind regards Geert and Laura”

“We had 4 very nice days in October in this house. The house has a nice little garden - and is situated in a quiet area in Berlin. You can easily walk to the trainstation and get to the center of Berlin within 25 minutes. You pass several stores on the way home from the Station, which makes the daily life shopping very easy. This house is built for living, being together as a Family - with kitchen and livingroom built together. Since we visited the house in October, we had great pleasure from the fire stove. We were 5 adults travelling together and we had plenty of Space in this house. We really felt at home in the house and we can highly recommend to Exchange with this Family.”
“We spent a week during Easter 2017 at Anke\'s home in Erkner. It is a very quiet suburb with a 20 minute walk to get the train directly in to Berlin (Alexanderplatz etc). We spent time looking around the historical tourist attractions which were all easy to access once in Berlin centre. There was a supermarket within a short walk from the house. We did not use a car as we got a taxi from Berlin Schonefeld airport and we used the train the rest of the time. Anke had left us some very good instructions about how to get around. We really enjoyed it thanks very much Anke and family!”
“Last christmas-holiday we stayed a week with Anke, Olaf and their family. We did a non-simultaneous exchange, which means that we stayed in their comfortable small gardenhouse while they were at home and they will come some other time to Amsterdam. It was perfect that way, it was like staying with friends! We had some meals together, they helped us in many ways and our sons even went climbing together. The house is far off the center, but the train takes you fast and in return there is plenty of nature around. For us it was the perfect way to stay in Berlin.”
Where is it?
We live in a nice suburb in the east part of Berlin. The place we live was founded 100 years ago and still has the charm of a historical village. A large forest and different lakes are very close to the house and in walking distance.
At the lakes you can take a Steamer or take a canoe as well as just go swimming.
Everything for daily life (supermarket, bakery, small shopping area) you can reach by bycicle or walking.
Walking distance to the citytrain-station (10-15 minutes).
The direct-train to the very city-center (Alexanderplatz, Brandenburger Gate) takes 20-25 minutes.
It is the perfect mix between a peaceful home and one of the most exciting cities in Europe!
