UUPDATE:) Due to a cancellation from Netherlands (Covid high incidence area for Germans who are not vaccinated, unfortunately valid for both our kids), we have the house free from 8 - 22, and look for a place to stay between 15 - 22!!)
This is a Bavarian style house with a cozy back garden. The interior has been mainly renovated in the last years (in a mix of Bavarian landhouse style with elements of Asian decoration), and all rooms are very generous in size.
Upstairs: 20 sqm bedroom, 35 sqm kids room / bed room, 30 qm (!) bathroom
Groundfloor. Garage, garden, 45 sqm living room with open kitchen, 10 sqm extra room, small bathroom with shower
Souterrain: two more guest sleeping rooms 8 qm, 25 qm , storage rooms, laundry rooms.
Size of front garden (with trampolin) and back garden (with bbq): appr. 300 qm.
The house is - by car - 20 minutes away from Munich. By public transport it is about 35 minutes.
But why go there every day? We live close to Wörthsee, the warmest and cleanest lake in Bavaria. By bike (you can use ours) this is 6 minutes away, by car two minutes. Here you can swim, rent a boat, use the SUP, or simply enjoy the view of the Alpine mountains or the amazing sunset in one of the numerous restaurants or bars along the lake.
There are 4 more of the most spectacular German lakes within a driving distance of 15 minutes.
Neuschwanstein Castle and other castles, as well as the first Alpine towns such as Garmisch Patenkirchen are 45 to 60 minutes away.
The house is in the community of Wörthsee which has - next to many restaurants - also a super market, several bakeries, an organic butcher, a golf court and many other amenities. Supermarket is 400 meter away. The house is directly next to a very traditional old Bavarian guest house with a big beer garden. In summer, we often do the barbecue outside, and just get the fresh drinks or some extra food from "next door." The beer garden also has a huge playground, so perfect for kids 3- 8. However, they are closing outside around 10 pm, so no worries about too much noise.
Wörthsee is in Landkreis Starnberg (county of Starnberg), the wealthiest part of the country, with the longest life expectancy and - statistically - the most satisfied inhabitants in the whole country. Incidence is around 10 here for the last months..
